BUNK098 - Buttermere - The Gnarly EP
New comer on Bunkaball. Please welcome to the genius Canadian producer : Buttermere.

We've discovered his musical univers with a track on a compilation of LA based label 'Fantastic voyage'. We have kept on an eye on him. Then he has sent us few demos for Bunk. We has loved them at first sight. So here is 'Gnarly EP' with 3 tracks, each on different directions, but so efficient on da floor.
He explain his ep : 'For this EP, I challenged myself to keep things simple, raw, and fun. All of the tracks are essentially built from one classic drum kit, one synth, and one vocal. Going back to basics never fails.'

Buttermere - The Gnarly EP :
- SHAG: The goal here was to break away from the four-to-the-floor pattern for some variety while still keeping a bouncy house feel. The low end hits!

- LOVE MY: Unpolished and driving. The highlight on this one is the drum pattern switch-up on the build-up/drop.

- D&P: With a nod to classic ghetto-tech tracks, this tune is fast, fun, and totally juvenile.

About Buttermere 🇨🇦 :
After over a decade studying classical and jazz trumpet while performing in ska-punk bands on the side, Buttermere discovered Montreal's electronic music and nightlife scene in the mid-2000s. It was a revelation. He was quickly drawn behind the decks and into the studio, earning a degree in music technology by day while playing parties in some of the city's biggest rooms by night. He dabbled in writing his own tracks along the way, but it was only after nearly 10 years of working dance floors that he began to take the craft of composition and production seriously. That hard work started paying off with a series of big releases in 2023, including a pair of tracks on Justin Jay's Fantastic Voyage label that received radio support in Germany and the Czech Republic and spins from Elisa Bee, Audiojack, ZeroFG, Kotelett, and many more. With his deep crates and diverse tastes, you'll never guess what's coming next from Buttermere.
